Local conglomerate Anco Group has announced a 20 million investment to build two water treatment plants in Kampot which will be able to process a combined 10,000 cubic metres of water per day.
The investment plans were announced during the annual meeting of Kampot’s provincial government on Tuesday, which was attended by Cham Prasidh, the Minister of Industry and Handicrafts.
One of the announced plants will be built in the former site of Koh Kae Airport, in Kampot city’s Andong Khmer commune. It will use water from Kamchay hydropower dam.
The second will be located in Kon Sat commune in Teouk Chhou district.
During the meeting, Minister Prasidh confirmed the project has been greenlighted by the ministry.
