Wing (Cambodia) Limited Specialized Bank, Cambodia’s leading provider of mobile banking services, and Western Union have partnered up to facilitate mobile digital international money transfers.
Thanks to the partnership, one million Wing App users in Cambodia will be able to transfer money to more than 200 countries.
During the agreement signing ceremony on Thursday, the company said that with a few clicks on the Wing Money App, users can now send Western Union money transfers to their family and loved ones abroad any time of the day.
Users can do direct transfers from their bank accounts or choose the ‘cash wallet’ function in the app, which can be cashed in at over 6,000 Wing agents.
“Today, with the activation of the Western Union service on our Wing Money App, we are delighted to take our collaboration to the next level, enabling migrants, the unbanked, the underbanked and foreign workers to conveniently transfer money in real-time, 24/7, to their families and dependents back home and globally,” said Jojo Malolos, Wing CEO.
Connecting customers with their families is key and providing the utmost convenience in doing so is pivotal, said Sohini Rajola, regional vice president at Western Union.
