Champassak to host Mekong Tourism Festival

Southernmost province, Champassak is going to host the 27th Mekong Tourism Festival at Champassak Grand Hotel to improve tourism market and promote tourism cooperation in the Mekong region of Cambodia, China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.

“The festival is opportunity for the Lao PDR to advertise its tourism potentials of culture, nature and history as whole and those of Champassak province in particular to attract visitors in both region and international tourism markets,” said Director of the Champassak Provincial Tourism Service, Mrs. Mala Chanthalam.

Main activities of the festival include trade fair by handicraft producers in the province, food festival, sport events and sightseeing for participating delegates.
