Realtime Travel Solution expands

BANGKOK, 13 July 2012: Realtime Travel Solution’s Bangkok Office that deals mainly with Scandinavia tour groups, has introduced an FIT or independent travel department providing B2B hotel bookings as well as acting as a Rail Europe general sales agent.

Realtime Travel Solution has offices in Seoul, Hong Kong, Copenhagen, Osaka, Tokyo, Taipei, France and Beijing and majors in the lucrative B2B hotel bookings business.

But in Bangkok, the FIT section was not activated since the company opened in 2004 due to a lack of senior management staff.

RTS has filled the gap by hiring Linna Phunpruch, a former GTA sales and marketing manager to head the company’s new department.

Ms Linna said: “With our multi-supplier based auto-bidding system, we have confidence that we can provide better solutions to our agents, especially for allocation and price.”

The RTS booking engine has over 50 suppliers, international and local such as Kuoni, Miki, Hotelbeds, Jacob, Restel, Transhotel, Fuji, Jacob and Luxury.

“Feedback is very good. Mostly agents are quite familiar  with our team so they trust  our quality of work,” she added.

The company is now the sixth Rail Europe GSA in Thailand.

“FIT bookings are growing in the Thai outbound market and demand for travel in Europe by rail is also increasing,” said Ms Linna.

Realtime Travel Solution was founded in April 2004 as a travel solution provider in Seoul with a plan to provide XML and Web Service based interactive booking engine to the travel trade around the world.

November 2004, Heemin Kang, the CEO who was also a former GTA exective acquired the company and shifted the business model to provide a multi-supplier based interactive world-wide hotel and rail bookings platform for the trade.
