BANGKOK, 25 July 2012: SilkAir will add a weekly flight to Chiang Mai and Danang during its winter schedule.
The airline is making adjustments to its network during the winter timetable (28 October to 30 March 2013) to better match market demand.
SilkAir said it would increase frequency on the Singapore-Chiang Mai route from three to four weekly flights.
Also, it will add a weekly flight to the Singapore-Danang via Siem Reap route. Currently, the carrier operates four flights to Danang — two nonstop and two via Siem Reap.
On 5 June, the carrier introduced three-weekly services to Vietnam’s capital, Hanoi.
Other changes in its winter timetable include: One additional flight each to Wuhan in China and Hyderabad in India.
However, it is also cutting services. It will reduce its Changsha services from four to three times weekly and to Pekanbaru in Indonesia, from five to four times weekly.
The current Singapore – Cebu – Davao circular flights on Thursday will be delinked and replaced with two nonstop flights between Singapore and Cebu and Singapore and Davao.
