Garuda Indonesia partners with Liverpool FC

Garuda Indonesia, the Airline of Indonesia, has signed a three year partnership agreement with one of England’s Premier League fooball clubs Liverpool FC.

This exclusive sponsorship deal makes Garuda Indonesia the ‘Global Official Airline Partner of Liverpool Football Club’ which means whenever the LFC team tours through Asia and Australia it will fly with Garuda Indonesia.

The agreement also offers Garuda Indonesia the opportunity to carry out campaigns during home games at LFC’s home ground, Anfield stadium which will be broadcasted by top TV networks around world.

Garuda Indonesia President and CEO, Emirsyah Satar explained that the cooperation with Liverpool is in line with the airline’s ‘Quantum Leap’ program which aims at strengthening Garuda Indonesia’s image as a global brand and player in the aviation industry.

“We are very pleased to join up with Liverpool Football Club. They are one of England’s best football clubs and are already a well-known global brand, with fans and supporters all over the world.” added Mr. Satar.

Liverpool’s Managing Director, Ian Ayre also welcomed the cooperation referring to it as a ‘fantastic collaboration’: “Liverpool has fans all over the world, and we are ready to work together with Garuda Indonesia and assist in their rapid growth.”

The agreement was signed by Garuda Indonesia’s President and CEO, Emirsyah Satar; the airline’ EVP Marketing and Sales, Elisa Lumbantoruan and by the Managing Director of Liverpool FC, Ian Ayre, and Financial Director of Liverpool FC, Philip Nash. The ceremony was also witnessed by legendary 1980s-1990s Liverpool star, Ian Rush.
