ALMATY, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- A bomb threat delayed 11 flights at an airport in the largest city of Kazakhstan, authorities said Tuesday.
The Almaty International Airport received an anonymous phone call at about 5:50 p.m. local time on Monday from a woman, who claimed a bomb was placed in the building.
Police evacuated employees and passengers from the airport but did not find any bomb.
An investigation into the incident was underway.
