VietJet Air increases services

HO CHI MINH CITY, 12 September 2012: VietJet Air will commence a new domestic service and increase flights on three existing routes this October.

On 1 October, it will kick off a daily air link between the business hub of Ho Chi Minh City in the south and Haiphong, the country’s third largest city on the northern coast.

From 14 October, the carrier will lift frequencies on the Ho Chi Minh City – Nha Trang route from daily to twice daily and increase the Ho Chi Minh City – Danang service from two to three daily.

It will also increase the Hanoi- Danang service from one to twice daily.

VietJetAir currently operates three Airbus A320 aircraft between Vietnam’s four cities: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Danang and Nha Trang with 10 flights a day.

Later this year, the airline will take delivery of three more A320 increasing the fleet to six. With the additional aircraft, it is considering more domestic services as well as its first regional service.

Routes under consideration are Hanoi – Phu Quoc, Hanoi – Dalat, Ho Chi Minh City – Hue, Ho Chi Minh City – Vinh and Ho Chi Minh City – Bangkok.
