In an Academy Awards style event in Suva last night, Air Pacific unveiled the new look Airbus A330s with the rebranded Fiji Airways.
The A330s boast a Fijian theme interior and new livery in an effort to rebrand the airline into a flying billboard for the island nation as part of a series of initiatives in the airline's revitalisation plan.
Air Pacific’s managing director Dave Pflieger told e-Travel Blackboard the response to the new brand, look and feel has been positive.
Mr Pflieger said he was "pleased" to hear the local Fijians say “we are so proud” when referring to the brand change.
“People love it,” Mr Pflieger said.
The full re-branding of Fiji Airways is due to be completed by the end of 2013, when the roll out across the international marketplace, ticket offices, check-in counters, airport lounge facilities, uniforms and the airline’s official website will be finalised.
