The Philippines’ largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific (PSE:CEB) is upgrading its passenger experience with three new exciting services: Hot Meals on all its international flights, a more convenient Duty Free shopping experience with both fun and luxury products, and in-flight wi-fi.
CEB unrolled its delicious Hot Meals on all international flights recently, where passengers may choose between Black Pepper Chicken (diced chicken in a rich black pepper sauce with rice), Chicken Rendang (chicken cooked in coconut milk and spices with rice) and Japanese Style Curry (a curried stew of chicken, potatoes and carrots with rice).
CEB Hot Meals may be pre-ordered through online, reservation hotlines and ticketing offices, until 4 hours before the flight.
Aiming to make flying more convenient, the airline’s in-flight Duty Free experience now includes a pre-order service to its passengers. Guests can place their orders on their departure flight and claim the items on their return flight. On November 2012, CEB will be launching an exclusive Duty Free product range on selected routes: from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Seoul (Incheon), Busan, Osaka, Kuala Lumpur, and Kota Kinabalu.
Passengers can also enjoy great savings on a wide and indulgent range of products from luxury goods, cosmetics, fragrances, jewelry, toys, chocolates and liquor. There are more than 40 items to choose from including exclusive Cebu Pacific-branded goods such as toys and electronic accessories.
“We are making great strides in providing an all-round better in-flight experience for our guests. CEB’s new Hot Meals offerings are the latest addition to our exciting range of inflight products and services. We also know many of our passengers want the convenience of shopping for competitively-priced Duty Free goods, so with our pre-order Duty Free service, they can just get it on their return flights,” said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.
Earlier this year, Cebu Pacific announced it will be the first low-cost carrier in Southeast Asia to offer in-flight wi-fi when it begins long-haul services in 2013.
Once OnAir Internet service is unrolled on its Airbus A330 fleet, passengers will be able to go online during the flight and make calls using Voice Over IP applications, using their Wi-Fi enabled personal electronic devices, such as Android? phones and tablets, iPhone?, iPad?, BlackBerry?, and laptops.
“We want to make flying with CEB not only more convenient but also a fun experience and that’s why we’re delighted to offer our guests in-flight wi-fi. We have over 600,000 likes on Facebook and over 60,772 Weibo followers so we know our passengers will appreciate being able to go online, read emails, make Internet calls, and browse the Internet throughout their flight,” added Iyog.
The airline also has the option to install Wi-Fi on its fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft, for short haul flights, in the next phase.
