Qantas bumps up int’l fares

08 Nov 2012  2079 | Business & Trade Fairs

Qantas has confirmed it will hike international fares by 3 percent from November 21.

Any existing bookings, whether published, private, wholesale or retail net will only avoid the surcharge if ticketed on or before 20 November 2012.

In an industry update Qantas said “most” international first class, business, premium economy and economy core-tariff fares will feel the effects of the price increase.

The new fares will begin to appear in the GDS and on the Qantas Industry Sales site from 7 November 2012 and will be updated over the next fortnight.

Qantas’ Global Sale has been extended until 12 November, as sale fares are not part of the review.
