DRAGONAIR will increase the frequency of its Hong Kong-Kota Kinabalu service to daily for the summer schedule beginning end-March 2013, following greater demand both ways.
The carrier currently runs six flights weekly between the two destinations. An A320 aircraft will be deployed for the additional flight, similar to the aircraft used on current operations.
Melody Keung, country manager, Malaysia & Brunei for Dragonair and Cathay Pacific Airways, said the additional flight was in response to “improved inbound and outbound loads”.
“Kota Kinabalu is also an attractive destination for travellers from Hong Kong, as well as the international network of Cathay Pacific and Dragonair,” she said.
M Nantha Gopal, managing director, Nantha Travel & Tours Kuala Lumpur, said: “The added frequency will provide 160 more seats a week on this route and ease the pressure for seats, especially during the peak travel season of both Hong Kong and Sabah, which is during the school holidays and major festivals.”
