A Cathay Pacific flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Anchorage late last week, after the aircraft started losing cabin pressure.
Oxygen masks were dropped on flight CX882 flying from Hong Kong to Los Angeles “as a result of gradual depressurization”, the airline told The Standard.
No passengers were hurt during the incident; however, the airline dispatched a special flight to pick up the 288 passengers and 18 crew from Anchorage.
The airline said an inspection of the Boeing 777-300ER showed the cause was most likely a result of malfunctioning valve in the air system. ?
