Cebu Pacific Launching Direct Manila-Bali Flights

The Philippines’ largest national flag carrier Cebu Pacific (PSE:CEB) is launching direct flights between Manila and Bali.

The twice-weekly service to Indonesia’s most popular tourism destination starts on March 16, 2013 – in time for peak summer travel in the Philippines.

“Air fares introducing the new service will start from USD90, up to 38% lower than other airlines,” said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.

Bali (Denpasar) will become CEB’s 20th international route and second destination in Indonesia, complementing four weekly flights to Jakarta.

CEB’s Manila-Bali schedule will operate every Tuesday and Saturday – departing Manila at 4am and arriving in Bali at 7:50am. The return flight will depart at 8:35am and arrive in Manila at 12:25pm.

Bali is ranked by BBC Travel, Lonely Planet and Travel&Leisure Magazine among the world’s top holiday destinations. Tourism centers on Kuta beach for shopping, night life and surfing, and the island’s arts and cultural centre of Ubud.

“Passengers from China can now take advantage of an even more extensive Cebu Pacific Southeast Asian network, with the addition of Bali,” added Ms Iyog. CEB is already the only airline flying from Manila to Hanoi in Vietnam, gateway to world-renowned Ha Long Bay, and to Siem Reap, Cambodia, gateway to the World Heritage temples of Angkor Wat. It is also the only low-cost carrier flying from Manila to Kota Kinabalu.

CEB operates a thrice-weekly route between Xiamen and Manila and a four times weekly route between Beijing and Manila. The airline also flies from Shanghai daily and from Guangzhou thrice weekly to Manila.

CEB’s international destinations extend to Bangkok, Brunei, Busan, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Incheon, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Osaka, Singapore, and Taipei.
