Less than a day after purchasing 49 percent stake in Virgin Atlantic airline, Delta has made a move on another Virgin.
Virgin Australia has submitted an application to the International Air Services Commission (IASC) seeking a Delta code share on flights on the Indonesia route.
As part of the alliance between the two carriers, the Australian carrier said Delta would place its airline code on Virgin’s flights to Indonesia.
The IASC has requested notice of intention to make a submission before handed before COB 19 December 2012, with all submissions due COB 8 January 2013.
