Qantas Frequent Flyer program has unveiled a new Classic Award points option, which allows its members to redeem their points on Jetstar flights at a 20 percent discount.
The expansion is available on up to 20 new Jetstar Classic Award destinations across Asia through the Jetstar Japan and Jetstar Asia networks, with seat redemptions starting from 6,400 points (excluding taxes, fees and carrier charges).
Qantas Loyalty chief executive Lesley Grant said changes are in response to member demand, asking for better redemption options, while adding extra destinations through Jetstar’s growing network across Asia.
“Redeeming Classic Award flights on Jetstar now requires 20 percent fewer points and like-for-like, we believe it is the lowest points proposition for this product offered by any Australian loyalty program,” Ms Grant said.
The announcement comes after Qantas Loyalty unveiled its new Frequent Flyer prepaid card, Qantas Cash, in February this year.
