Malaysia Airlines appoints Aviareps its General Sales Agent in Scandinavia & Iceland

MUNICH - Malaysia Airlines, the premium carrier of Asia, appoints Aviareps in Scandinavia and Iceland. The Malaysian carrier and the leading representation company will cooperate in the territories of Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Iceland.  AVIAREPS Nordic head office in Stockholm will perform sales and marketing actions, as well as reservations and ticketing handling with immediate effect.

Malaysia Airlines has chosen Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport and London Heathrow as its European hubs. Currently, the airline operates daily flights from Amsterdam and double daily from London to Kuala Lumpur with code share partners KLM and British Airways. Further European destinations such as Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo and Reykjavik are well-linked through code share partners KLM, British Airways offering convenient feeder flights via Amsterdam and London. A commercial agreement with SAS enables also possibilities to fly via the hubs Frankfurt and Paris.

In addition to the long-haul services, excellent onward connections to all major Malaysia cities are offered, as well as a variety of services to increasingly expanding international flight routes, such as Adelaide, Denpasar, Hanoi, Jakarta, Melbourne, Perth, Saigon and Sydney.

Both Malaysia Airlines and its Kuala Lumpur hub are among the industry’s most frequent winners of awards for quality service. Malaysia Airlines itself has won the World’s Best cabin staff title from the UK based Skytrax airline quality rating agency in seven of the past 11 years.

As of February 1, 2013, Malaysia Airlines is part of oneworld adding one of Asia’s leading airlines to the global airline alliance that aims to be the first choice for frequent international travelers over the world.

Malaysia Airlines serves more than 60 destinations in almost 30 countries across Asia, Australasia, Middle East, Europe and North America. Its present fleet of 88 aircrafts including its flagship Airbus A380s operates more than 250 departures a day. It boarded 13 million passengers in 2011.
