AirAsia awarded by Changi Airport Group for 4th consecutive year

 AirAsia, the world’s best low cost airline, was awarded ‘Top Passenger Airline by Absolute Growth – Southeast Asia’ and ‘Top 5 Airlines by Passenger Carriage’ during the Changi Airline Awards 2013 held at Regent Hotel last evening.

This is the 4th consecutive year AirAsia has been awarded by the Changi Airport Group.

The annual awards event, organized by Changi Airport Group (CAG) is into its 8th year this year, and is held to acknowledge the airline community for contributing to Changi Airport’s development as a vibrant and world-class air hub for the past year.

AirAsia Group CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, was present at the event to receive the awards. On AirAsia’s achievements, he said, “This is a great achievement and honour for all of us in AirAsia. We are delighted to be acknowledged by the Changi Airport Group especially in the two categories that are closest to our hearts. Despite being in such competitive aviation environment in Singapore, we have flown more than 3.7 million passengers into the country in 2012 alone. We will continue to leverage on our wide network to provide the best connectivity for our guests and I have the confidence that we will grow further in the years to come.”
