TG adds services in low season

BANGKOK, 21 May 2013: THAI Airways International has increased flights in response to rising tourist traffic during what was always the traditional off peak months for tourism to Thailand.

THAI president, Sorajak Kasemsuvan, said according to the airline summer traffic programme THAI has adjusted its flight schedules to meet higher traffic demand evident in advance bookings,  31 March to 26 October.

According to the latest adjustments, 1 July to 18 August, TG952/953 routed Bangkok-Copenhagen-Phuket-Bangkok will be rerouted Bangkok-Copenhagen, but will increase from two flights weekly to daily using a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

In addition, THAI will increase flights to Europe, Africa, Australia and New Zealand, as well as some regional routes.

On European routes, 16 June, TG940/941 Bangkok-Milan will increase from three flights weekly to four using an Airbus A340-600 aircraft.

On the same day, TG948/949 Bangkok-Madrid will increase from three flights weekly to four using a Boeing 777-200ER aircraft.

On its sole African route, TG991/992 Bangkok-Johannesburg will increase from three flights weekly to four  using a Boeing 777-200ER aircraft.

For Australia and New Zealand routes, effective 16 June, TG481/482 Bangkok-Perth will increase from three flights weekly to daily using am Airbus A330-300 aircraft.

TG485/486 Bangkok-Phuket-Perth will have three weekly flights using an Airbus A330-300 aircraft.

For regional routes, TG624/625 Bangkok-Manila will increase from three flights weekly to four flights using an Airbus A330-300 aircraft.

TG646/647 Bangkok-Nagoya will increase from four flights weekly to five flights using a Boeing 777-200ER and Boeing 777-300 aircraft.

TG431/432 Bangkok-Denpasar will increase from five flights weekly to daily using a Boeing 777-200 aircraft.

From 1 October, flights TG327/328 Bangkok-Bodh Gaya-Varanasi will increase from four flights weekly to daily, using Boeing 737-400 aircraft.

From 1 June 2013, TG345/346 Bangkok-Lahore will increase from six flights weekly to daily, using an Airbus A330-300.

In addition, the national airline will add more flights on regional routes.

From 1 July,  TG435/436 Bangkok-Jakarta will operate daily, using an Airbus A330-300 aircraft including  TG331/332 Bangkok-Dhaka will operate four flights weekly using an Airbus A330-300 aircraft.

From 31 March this year, THAI commissioned its Airbus A380-800 aircraft on TG930/931  between Bangkok and Paris serving the destination daily.
