Landmark Hotels Group announces new executive team at The Kahala Hotel & Resort

HONOLULU - Shawn Sweeney, President of The Landmark Hotels Group, management company of The Kahala Hotel & Resort, Honolulu and Makena Beach & Golf Resort, Maui has announced the promotion of Carmine Iommazzo to General Manager and the appointment of Ryan Fitzgerald to Hotel Manager of the legendary resort.
Mr. Iommazzo returned to The Kahala in March this year to manage the operations of the hotel, where he was previously Director of Food and Beverage before being assigned to Makena Beach & Golf Resort in 2011. At Makena, he was responsible for the operations of the 1100-acre Maui resort, first as Resident Manager and later as General Manager.  Prior to his Landmark career, Mr. Iommazzo was with Starwood Hotels & Resorts in Hawaii and in Australia.
Ryan Fitzgerald returns to The Kahala as Hotel Manager. He left The Kahala in 2011 to take an executive role as Hotel Manager at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Resort on the Big Island.  He was previously Director of Rooms at The Kahala and also held Rooms Division positions at Mauna Lani Bay and at the Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles. He is a graduate of the University of Nevada at Las Vegas.
In announcing the appointments, Shawn Sweeney said, "I am delighted to bring together these two hardworking professionals who are passionate about The Kahala and will lead the resort as we bring it into its next 50 years as the epitome of luxury Hawaiian hospitality.
