Perth Convention Bureau announces Board of Directors’ election results

PERTH - A field of eight candidates – the biggest in the Bureau’s history – stood for election to fill the four vacancies on PCB’s board. Their successful nominations were confirmed at the Bureau’s Annual General Meeting held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre earlier this week.

The successful candidates appointed were:

Michael Altieri, Director Events & Conferences, Crown Perth
David Constantine, General Manager, Parmelia Hilton Perth
Nigel Keen, General Manager, Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre
Chris Pye, Chief Executive Officer/Owner, The Terrace Hotel Perth.

They join existing elected Directors, Adam Myott, General Manager, Hyatt Regency Perth and Ryan Mossny, Director, Two Feet & a Heartbeat.

Ian Laurance AM has been reappointed for a two year term as a Consultative Director and Chairman, together with Ian Gay, Regional General Manager, Qantas Airways Limited, who has been reappointed a Consultative Director and Vice Chairman.

Mr Wayne Ticehurst, Consultant and Mr Les Corner, National Sales Manager, The West Australian, remain as Consultative Directors for another year.The City of Perth representative appointed to PCB’s Board is Councillor Reece Harley.

Funded by Tourism WA and the City of Perth, in the financial year 2012/2013, the Perth Convention Bureau secured business events that will require more than 200,000 hotel room nights and inject more than $104.7 million in delegate expenditure to the Western Australian economy.
