DRH continues to evolve Malaysia's tourism industry with hosts of high profile projects

DRH is at the very heart of Malaysia’s blossoming tourism industry, something that was recently highlighted by the Minister of Tourism and Culture Malaysia, YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Nazri bin Abdul Aziz. DRH has been entrusted by the investment arm of the Malaysian government to enrich Malaysia’s tourism landscape by developing sustainable resort destinations that will attract international travelers from around the world.

Its current key investment portfolio comprises Desaru Coast, the region’s first integrated luxury destination located at Johor’s Desaru coastline, Little Red Cube and Traders Hotel at the luxury waterfront of Puteri Harbour in Nusajaya and Teluk Datai, Langkawi, a luxury eco-tourism destination surrounded by ancient rainforest and breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea.

At ITB Berlin 2014, DRH will be announcing yet another significant achievement for the country; the birth of the first Els Club not just in Malaysia but in Southeast Asia, which will represent a new benchmark of excellence for golf tourism in the region.
Created by one of the greatest minds in golf business landscape design, an established professional golfer and founder of Els Design; Ernie Els partnered with DRH to strategically design and build three Troon managed championship golf courses in Malaysia.

“Having Ernie Els' first ever golf course design in Southeast Asia on Malaysia's shores demonstrates the strategic moves being made to ensure the future of Malaysia's golf tourism is as powerful as it is appealing. We are making preparations for the launch of the Els Club Teluk Datai on 1st April 2014, an 18-hole championship golf course set in a beautiful island in the northern state of Peninsular Malaysia in Langkawi,” said Darrell Metzger, Director of DRH.

Els Club Malaysia will comprise three championship golf courses with its clubhouse facilities that will be presented in style and authenticity personally designed by Ernie himself in two stunning locations in Peninsular Malaysia.
