1700 travel agents from all over the world on board Costa Luminosa for the “I Protagonisti del Mare 2014"

HONG KONG - The 21st edition of “I Protagonisti del Mare" (The Champions of the Sea), the much-anticipated annual showpiece event dedicated to Costa Cruises’ best travel partners, will start next Sunday May 11th from Savona.

About 1700 travel agents from Europe, Asia and Africa will participate to the traditional annual meeting dedicated to Costa’s trade partners. During the “I Protagonisti del Mare 2014”, prizes will be awarded to those travel partners who achieved the best performances in 2013.

The exclusive and sophisticated ambience of the Costa Luminosa’s Phoenix Show Lounge will provide the backdrop for the gala awards evenings, which will be veritable stage shows with the participation of Costa Crociere S.p.A top management.

CEO Michael Thamm, Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing, Norbert Stiekema, Senior Vice President Hotel Operations & Guest Experience, Neil Palomba, will be hosting the event.

On the occasion, the 2015/16 Costa Brochure will be introduced to the Costa's partners, with a special focus on Costa Diadema, the new flagship of the fleet, which is currently being fitted out in Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard and is due for delivery on next October 30th, and on Costa neoCollection program which represents the Costa's exclusive “slow cruise” experience.

The "I Protagonisti del Mare 2014" event is scheduled during the Costa Luminosa’s spring mini-cruises in the Mediterranean; after the event she will be positioned in Northern Europe throughout summer 2014 on one-week vacations amidst the natural splendor of the Norwegian fjords and the quaint elegance of the Baltic cities.
