Abacus wins West India award

SINGAPORE : Abacus was named best Global Distribution System (GDS) in West India at the prestigious India Travel Awards recently.
The awards were presented toJeet Sawhney, managing director for Abacus India by Shri Parvez Diwan, Secretary for the Ministry of Tourism.
Five travel agency solutions including Abacus Workspace, the multi-platform Abacus Mobility Suite, Abacus AutomationHub, Abacus TicketingExpress and its latest development to enhance traveller security, Abacus TripAlert collectively netted first place in the technology category.
Abacus Distribution System India managing director, Jeet Sawhney commented: “This award reflects our commitment to the travel industry’s growth and prosperity as we reach out from 13 cities to help India’s travel suppliers.”
The India Travel Awards are a regional series supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and trade bodies IATO, PATA, ADTOI, ATOAI and OTOAI.
The accolades are awarded through a jury and voting system.
