PUTRAJAYA A magic festival will be hosted at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre during the upcoming school break in Malaysia.
The event is the first of its kind combining a magic competition, workshops and showcases.
Magic Fest Putrajaya will be held at PICC for four days, 12 to 15 September, with entertaining activities such as competitions, workshops, magic booths as well as an international gala show.
Entrance to the gala nght premier, which will have an international all-star showcase, costs RM50 per adult and RM25 for a child.
The show will be staged on Monday, 15 September at 2000, featuring eight international award winning magicians including the winner of Malaysia Open category.
Among the billed magicians due to perform are Avery & Sylvia (Malaysia), Henning Nielson (Denmark), Victor Voitko (Ukraine), Mike Chao (Taiwan), Ma Yan Yan
(China), Kenji Minemura (Japan) and Jung Byung Gu (Japan).
Budding magicians can learn a few tricks from professional magicians who will conduct workshops throughout the event period. There will two sessions of 45-minute workshops conducted daily from Saturday onwards. Workshops are free of charge.
Magic fans who are visiting Malaysia can purchase a three-day/two-night stay package at RM880 net per person. The choice of hotels are Putrajaya Shangri-La or Putrajaya Marriot. The package also includes a sightseeing tour at Cruise Tasik Putrajaya and a ticket to watch the gala show, 5 September.
