New Dawn for P&O Cruises

P&O Cruises has officially unveiled its new colours, as the Pacific Dawn cruise liner emerged from a dry dock renovation in Sydney wearing the company’s new livery.

During the 10-day makeover the ship became the first in P&O’s Australian fleet to be painted with its new colour scheme, which features a navy blue stripe along the ship’s side and the company’s ‘Like No Place on Earth’ strapline on the stern. The livery will now be introduced to all five of P&O’s Australian ships over the coming months.

As well as the paint job, the Pacific Dawn has also been revamped with new facilities, including a new pool deck and water features, upgraded restaurants and general enhancements to the cabins and public areas.

Pacific Dawn has also become the second ship to feature the ‘P&OEdge Adventure Park’, with 19 adrenalin sport activities including rock climbing, a ‘flying fox’ and a ‘Walk the Plank’ experience, which extends over the side of the ship.

“As the pioneers of cruising in Australia, we’re always looking at ways to take holidaying at sea to the next level. The new elements that have been added to Pacific Dawn mark the start of an exciting time of growth and change for P&O Cruises as we continue to evolve as a contemporary cruise brand that sets the trends for the local industry,” said P&O Cruises senior vice president, Tammy Marshall.

Pacific Dawn will now be based in Brisbane, as part of P&O’s five-ship Australian fleet.
