Starwood Hotels & Resorts debuts Four Points by Sheraton Guilin, Lingui in China's southern Guangxi province

GUILIN, China - Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT) and China's Fantasia Holdings Group jointly announced the opening of Four Points by Sheraton Guilin, Lingui. The opening marks the first internationally-branded hotel in Guilin's Lingui district and the first Four Points by Sheraton brand in Guangxi Province.

The opening of Four Points by Sheraton Guilin, Lingui underscores the brands' strong growth in Greater China, currently with more than 20 operating hotels throughout the country. With its signature timeless design, uncomplicated comfort and great service for travelers, the Four Points by Sheraton brand will double its presence in Greater China in the coming years, with all pipeline Four Points by Sheraton hotels to open in secondary and tertiary cities.

Four Points by Sheraton Guilin, Lingui is ideally located in the heart of Lingui, Guilin's new business and administrative district, in a complex housing the city's largest retail mall, and government and corporate offices. The hotel is located 6 kilometers from Guilin city centre, 15-minutes from the Guilin Train Station, and 20-minutes from Guilin Liangjiang International Airport (KWL).

The new hotel features 242 comfortable guest rooms and suites, many with lovely city views. Stylish dining includes The Eatery, the only international buffet restaurant in Lingui. For authentic Cantonese and local cuisine,China Spice is another dining venue that includes 10 private dining rooms with the largest accommodating up to 30 guests. The Lobby Lounge also showcases the Four Points' brand signature Best Brews range of local and international branded beers.

For meetings and events, there are approximately 1,700 square meters of versatile function space including a pillar-less ballroom and 11 multifunction rooms. Recreational amenities include an indoor heated swimming pool and state-of-the-art fitness centre with gym, sauna and steam room.

Guangxi province, is a Chinese autonomous region in South Central China, bordering Vietnam and has a place on the frontier of Chinese civilization throughout much of China's history. Picturesque Guilin has inspired poets and artists for centuries. It remains a magnet for tourists with cruising the Li River to admire stunning mountain scenery, fertile farmlands and quaint fishing villages.
