BANGKOK  A Thailand-based real estate developer, Country Group Development, joined Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, to release details, Monday, of a hotel and residential project that will be located on the banks of Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River.
The announcement follows a Minor Group release, last week, that said it was taking over the management of Four Seasons Bangkok and reflagging the property under its luxury brand Anantara. Minor owns the Four Seasons Hotel in Bangkok.
Four Seasons Hotel and Resorts confirmed it has sealed a management contract for a new THB32 billion mix-use complex that will feature a luxury hotel and private residences at a riverside location.
The hotel component will have 300 rooms and suites while the residences will consist of more than 350 all-corner units in a 73 story tower offering uninterrupted views of the Bangkok city skyline.

The low-density, mix-use development spans 350 meters of waterfront.
“Country Group is exceptionally proud to be collaborating with Four Seasons to develop one of Bangkok’s most iconic hotel and private residences, demonstrating our long-term commitment to the people of Thailand. Through our collaboration with Four Seasons, our aim is for Chao Phraya Estate to redefine the waterfront experience in Bangkok and Asia,” said Ben Taechaubol, Chief Executive Officer of Country Group Development PCL.
“After undertaking extensive relocation efforts and securing one of Bangkok’s last remaining undeveloped large parcels of riverside land in the CBD, our aim is to create a luxury experience that is unmatched in the market,” said Taechabol.
The project is due for completion by 2018 while the sales office opened this week on the development site at Soi Charoen Krung, 64 Charoen Krung Road, Yannawa Sathorn.
