Year of the Goat greetings

BANGKOK  Senior officials representing the governments of the People’s Republic of China and Thailand extended Lunar New Year’s greetings to people across China and Thailand at a special ceremony 18 February 2015 at the China Cultural Centre in Bangkok.
The Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China has also scheduled special cultural shows as part of the wishes for the New Year of the Goat for the people of Thailand.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Sino-Thai diplomatic relations, and the 11th anniversary of cooperation between the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Chinese Ministry of Culture.
inside no 8The China Cultural Centre, the first to be established by the Chinese government in Southeast Asia, and the largest such centre outside of China, also celebrates its second anniversary in 2015.
China’s Deputy Minister of Culture, Xiang Zhaolun said: “The China Cultural Centre in Bangkok has been providing a wide range of cultural exchange activities that have helped to create better understanding of the Chinese culture among the Thai people.”
Thailand’s Minister of Tourism and Sports, Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul added: “Over the last 40 years… we have seen flourishing ties on trade, investment and tourism.”
