Best Western excels in TripAdvisor awards

BANGKOK - Best Western International is celebrating a stunning series of wins in the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Awards.

More than 1,800 Best Western hotels worldwide secured the Certificate of Excellence, accounting for 45 percent of the company’s entire global collection.

Only about 10 percent of all the hotels listed on TripAdvisor receive the Certificate of Excellence, so the impressive proportion of Best Western award winners demonstrates the consistently high levels of quality and guest satisfaction achieved across the Best Western portfolio.

BEST WESTERN PREMIER Indochine Palace, Vietnam

In addition, 378 Best Western hotels have now been inaugurated into TripAdvisor’s Hall of Fame. This means that these hotels have now achieved the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years, again reflecting consistently high standards.

And Best Western’s hotels in Asia also performed strongly. TripAdvisor awarded Certificates of Excellence to 17 of the company’s Asian hotels, five of which have now entered the Hall of Fame.

New Hall of Fame entrants include BEST WESTERN Naha Inn, Japan; BEST WESTERN Boracay Tropics Resort, Philippines; BEST WESTERN PREMIER Amaranth Suvarnabhumi Airport, Thailand; BEST WESTERN PREMIER Indochine Palace, Vietnam; and BEST WESTERN Premier Kukdo, South Korea.

Other Best Western hotels in Asia which achieved the Certificate of Excellence are: BEST WESTERN Ramachandra, BEST WESTERN Maryland, BEST WESTERN Royal Park, BEST WESTERN PREMIER La Marvella and BEST WESTERN Merrion in India; BEST WESTERN PREMIER Sukhumvit, BEST WESTERN Klassique Sukhumvit and BEST WESTERN Royal Buriram Hotel in Thailand; Best Western Hotel Fino Sapporo and BEST WESTERN PREMIER Hotel Nagasaki in Japan ; BEST WESTERN Gobi’s Kelso in Mongolia; and BEST WESTERN PLUS Lex Cebu, Philippines.

“The most satisfying accolade any hotel can receive is positive guest feedback, so to attain so many TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Awards is extremely gratifying for Best Western,” said Ron Pohl, Best Western International’s Senior Vice President of Brand Management.

“For 45 percent of our entire global collection to be rated so highly by our guests reflects the tremendous work being done by our teams across the world. Best Western was founded on the pillars of comfort, value for money and service excellence, and 70 years after our company was born it’s wonderful to see that those values are still present, and thriving, today,” Mr. Pohl added.

Olivier Berrivin, Best Western International’s Managing Director of International Operations – Asia, commented; “I am delighted that Best Western’s hotels in Asia achieved so many TripAdvisor Certificates of Excellence. Our guests are our most important and valued assets; they promote our brand around the world and are our best ambassadors."

“To receive such overwhelmingly positive feedback from our guests is extremely pleasing, and I’m confident that even more of Best Western’s Asian hotels will enter the TripAdvisor Hall of Fame in coming years,” Mr. Berrivin added.

To be awarded a Certificate of Excellence, a hotel must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, in terms of its guest rating on TripAdvisor - the world’s biggest travel website.
