A new trend in travel - One way taxi for budget travelers

NEW DELHI - Taxi fare is seen as an unwanted expenditure when customers plan for short holiday trips. Taxi firms are habitual of charging both way fares making the weekend getaways a pricy affair. This often discourages the customers who are looking only for one way trips, forcing them to look for less convenient options like bus and train travel.

GetMeCab is breaking the stereotype in outstation cab travel, removing the compulsion on consumers to pay return fares. This fast growing online taxi company has introduced a service called 'One Way Dhamaka', which lets the customers book a cab for one way only. With 'One Way Dhamaka', GetMeCab is targeting the budget conscious travelers. Acting on the customers' feedback, GetMeCab has started this service from select destinations right now, with plans of expansion in the offing.

Mr. Sanjeev Duggal, promoter of GetMeCab, said, "One Way Dhamaka is not just an offer, it is the future of outstation cab travel. We don't want customers walking out because we couldn't cater to their preferred travel. The pricing anomalies that lie between city and outstation travel will be further reduced by one way taxis."

Adding on to this, Mr. Kapil Sehgal, the CEO of GetMeCab, said, "GetMeCab has always challenged the traditional mind set in travel industry and this is one of the radical ideas that will have a long-term impact on our business as well as overhauling of complete cab rental industry."
