Singapore’s Castlewood Group is planning to roll-out at least 20 new Dream Hotels in Asia over the next decade.

The company has formed a partnership with New York-based Début Hotel Group for the development and operation of the upper-upscale Dream Hotels brand. Under plans revealed this week, Castlewood will start the roll-out later this year with the launch of a new Dream Hotel in Phuket.Dream Hotels already has an Asian presence in Kochi (pictured) and Bangkok

“We are absolutely delighted to enter into a partnership with Début Hotel Group and Dream Hotels,” said Chris Comer, CEO of the Castlewood Group. “Both Début and Dream share Castlewood Group’s vision of delivering world-class hotels. When we were approached about this unique opportunity, a partnership with this visionary lifestyle hotel group made perfect sense for us and our investors.

“A great success story is in the making as we team up with a hotel company that not only delivers a solid and consistent occupancy rate, but that can match this revenue dollar for dollar with its food and beverage offering, which is incredibly rare.

“I believe we will create something truly remarkable, partnering our deep experience in the Asian market with Dream’s unique and edgy brand offering,” Comer added.

According to Debut, Dream Hotels are “individually curated properties” with a “contemporarily chic” design.

The first Dream Hotel under the new partnership, Dream Phuket Hotel & Spa, is currently being developed at Bang Tao Beach, adjacent to the Laguna Phuket resort complex, and is scheduled to open to in December this year. This won’t be the first Thai Dream Hotel however; the brand is already present in Bangkok, along with other locations in Kochi, New York, Miami and Los Angeles.

“We are very excited to grow the widely recognised Dream Hotels brand with the strategic and thoughtful partners we have in Castlewood Group and [Dream Phuket’s developer] 8over8 Development,” said Jay Stein, chief operating officer of Début Hotel Group.

“We are confident that Castlewood’s seasoned Hotel Management team will manage Dream Phuket, the first hotel to open under the agreement, and each of the upcoming Dream hotels, in alignment with the brand’s philosophy.”
