TICA training on PR skills

BANGKOK Thailand Incentives and Conventions Association is hosting a training event to fine tune public relations skills for its members and travel-related executives.

In its second annual edition, ‘The Fundamentals of Public Relations’ will be held ,2 September, at the Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket.

Public relations expert, Piyahatai Autchayawat, founder and managing director of The MarCom Pro Co Ltd, will lead the training sessions. Bangkok Post’s Life section editor, Prapai Kraisonrkovit, will present a keynote address

inside no 6This training programme targets marketing and public relations departments of companies in hospitality and travel.

Registration is limited to 25 participants, who must sign and pay the registration fee to TICA by Wednesday, 26 August 2016.  Email: [email protected].

The one-day course is designed to introduce newcomers to the basics of public relations, including dealing with the media, preparing media kits and press releases, the use of social media, developing an integrated PR campaign, and evaluating the success of a PR strategy.

Sessions are led by an expert who has more than 20 years in public relations, 13 of those years working with Starwood.

The training course costs THB2,500 plus VAT for TICA members and THB3,500 plus VAT for non-members.
