TAT hosts Amazing Fight competition

BANGKOK Tourism Authority of Thailand will host the “Amazing Fight” event, for visitors interested in Muay Thai.

Participants will get an opportunity to train with Buakaw Banchamek, one of Thailand’s most famous Muay Thai fighters and participate in a competition to win holiday prizes.

The “Amazing Fight” Event focuses on travel to four regions to learn more about traditional Muay Thai and even a chance to step in the ring for a sparring session with a celebrity fighter.

North, Muay Tha Sao, Uttaradit province;

Northeast (I-san), Muay Korat, Nakhon Ratchasima province;

Central Muay Lop Buri, Lop Buri province;

South, Muay Chaiya, Surat Thani province.

Participants get to join a traditional World Wai Kru Muay Thai ceremony in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, a must-do ceremony for every Muay Thai fighter to pay respect to their teachers.

Twenty participants who are selected to take part in the event will get a chance to travel in Thailand free of charge.

Four winners from the final round will be awarded accommodation packages in Thailand.

They should upload a current photo showing them in a Muay Thai fight or training session and add a short text comment on the subject: “Why do you like Muay Thai.”

The deadline for applications closes 28th February.

The event is divided into three knockout rounds.

Round 1: A total of 20 participants are selected from the candidates who presented their profiles and details on the website and divided into two groups of 10 each (male and female).
