SHANGHAI With just eight weeks to go before ITB China opens its doors at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Centre the organisers claim exhibition space is completely sold out.

The trade show, jointly organised by Messe Berlin and a local Chinese partner, will open 10 May with 600 companies, destinations, organisations and travel service providers signed up for China’s new three-day B2B travel trade show.

Trade visitors can registering for ITB China 2017 online at Trade Visitor Registration in order to meet with exhibitors covering leisure, mice and corporate travel, worldwide.

On the sidelines of the trade show, a ITB China Conference promises to be a platform where the newest trends and innovation of the Chinese and the global travel industries will play out.

One of the highlights will be a keynote address by China Tourism Association vice-chairman and secretary general, Rungang Zhang.

ITB China will introduce an exhibition area dedicated to online travel and travel technology solutions branded ‘eTravel World China’.

Globally renowned companies such as Amadeus, Expedia and Booking.com are confirmed participants presenting their wide product range to ITB China’s attendees.

Europe is ITB China’s inaugural partner destination with a dedicated pavilion staffed by teams from major European destinations.

China Eastern Airlines has been named ITB China’s official partner airline and is offering special air fares to ITB China’s attendees, while Jin Jiang International Hotels is the official hotel partner.

The organisers claim 600 hosted buyers from China will attend as well as 100 international trade buyers.
