BANGKOK, 28 June 2012: More than 50% of the available exhibition booths at the World Spa & Well-being Convention,19 to 21 September, are already booked according to the Thai Spa Association.

TSPA manager, Sasithorn Siriussawakul, told TTR Weekly the three-day event  due to be held at Bangkok’s IMPACT Mueang Thong Thani has 104 booths confirmed of the 180 available spaces.

Booths cost Bt47,700 for standard booth or Bt5,300 per  sqm for raw space. These rates exclude 7% VAT.

Tourism businesses that are members of any of the trade associations in the Federation of Thai TourismAssociations gain a 15% discount if they book by 30 June.

An ASEAN pavilion is the main highlight of the exhibition content this year.

“It will present spa related products and services from neighboring countries such as Malaysia and Laos,” said Ms Sasithorn. “We want to link our services in Thailand to the ASEAN market and broaden the show’s content,” she added.

The three-day event will feature trade sessions, an exhibition and seminars. The first two days are limited to spa trade participants (B2B), but consumers are welcome on the last day of the show.

Two seminars will be conducted in either English or Thai languages.

The association expects over 180 spa and wellness companies, worldwide, to participate, while it expects 3,000 trade visitors; 5,000 consumers and 400 conference delegates to attend the event.
