Craft beers, luxury yachts, sunset cruises, seafood feasts, parasailing and quad bike rides on Australia’s biggest sand dunes feature in new itineraries released by MICE Port Stephens for the Hunter region’s conference and events market.

Two and three-day itineraries have been drafted to offer corporate visitors – and their families - a mix of inspired work and ‘fresh air’ play in the blue water wonderland of Port Stephens, a short drive away from Newcastle and other areas of the Hunter Valley.

“Our suggested itineraries in the fresh air destination of Port Stephens are designed as an antidote from the hustle and bustle of city distractions so delegates and their companies can gain fresh perspectives and clarity in a natural, uncluttered seaside setting,” said MICE Port Stephens Manager, Rebecca Morley.

“Combining soft adventure, indulgence and relaxation as well as focused productivity, our recommended schedules aim to foster inspiration, high morale and strong team bonding, using the deluxe, beachside accommodation, state-of-the-art conference facilities and relaxed ambience Port Stephens can offer,” Ms Morley said.

The new two-day ‘Sails Meeting’ itinerary sees delegates travel to the beachside region aboard a five-star coach with Port Stephens Coaches for a welcome lunch and boutique beer tastings at Murray’s Brewery. After checking into their accommodation, delegates then enjoy a sunset cocktail cruise with Imagine Cruises before dinner at a one of the many outstanding local restaurants and live entertainment at Wests Diggers. A ‘brain-starter’ walk up spectacular Tomaree Head the next day before breakfast is followed by conference sessions and a mid-afternoon, team-building adrenalin ride with Quad Bike King over the highest sand dunes in the southern hemisphere. Delegates then return home by coach.

The three-day ‘Unconventional Convention’ itinerary for delegates, partners and children starts with an afternoon tour of the huge Stockton Sand Dunes with Port Stephens 4WD Tours, followed by a dinner cruise with Moonshadow Cruises on the dolphin-filled waters of Port Stephens. After an early morning yoga session on the beach to greet the dawn, delegates get down to business while partners enjoy a deluxe yacht cruise with Blue Water Sailing and children check into organised kids club activities such as ten pin bowling at Superstrike and parasailing with Port Stephens Watersports.
