FRANKFURT - There is so much to look forward to at Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (the Centre) as it rolls out its signature food and beverage (F&B) offerings with “Culinaria” the latest experiential campaign designed to highlight its multi-dimensional strength in delivering variety, expertise, flexibility and innovation, coupled with an established service culture and track record.

Committed to delivering an experience like no other for its delegates and clients. “The Year of Culinary Excellence at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre forms part of the Centre’s Culinaria Campaign and epitomises the distinction in our food & beverage (F&B) offerings,” said Datuk Peter Brokenshire, the Centre’s General Manager on the sidelines of IMEX 2013.

“Our year-round culinary offerings deliver a creative and colourful culinary experience underpinned by the Centre’s award-winning F&B track record and entails creative and colourful cuisine presentations like State-of-the-Art Banqueting, quarterly promotions, enhanced themed and ‘special dietary’ menus and greater healthy options, many of which are in response to client requests.”

More of the beyond business as usual, cuisine is coupled with unique product offerings such as its new ‘Bean Bag’ meeting experience!

On the ‘Bean Bag’ experience, Brokenshire said the Centre’s TenOnCall Beanie Experience breaks away from conventional meeting format with comfortable bean bags to promote a fun and welcoming environment to engage in. “Eschewing chairs, the TenOnCall Beanie Experience allows participants to ensconce themselves in big, cosy bean bags in a set-up of their choice and comes with a takeaway latte, cappuccino or freshly-brewed coffee/tea and bean-ovation value-adds of titbits, energy booster drinks and energy bars, comfy slippers and a stress ball!” This is in addition to the standard TenOnCall offerings of running free-flow lifestyle cuisine and complimentary audio-visual and presentation equipment. “We want to give more than what clients will expect from an ordinary meeting.”

The Centre’s enhanced banqueting menus, Day Conference Packages (DCPs), TenOnCall offerings and public catering outlets (West Wing Cafe & Park View Deck) with a wider selection of healthy choices are a good example of applying flexibility and being creative, Brokenshire said this was in response to the increasing number of requests for special dietary and nutritional needs. The expanded themed menus are to cater to the growing number of repeat clients who now look beyond just the facilities and value-adds for their events. An unforgettable epicurean adventure is high on their list.

The Centre looks forward to an exciting year 2013 with over 40 conventions/exhibitions already on the calendar. These include the 35th Asia Pacific Dental Congress (the first Asian country to host the event), Women Deliver Conference 2013 and the 7th IAS Conference on HIV Pathogenesis, Treatment and Prevention. In just four months of this year, the Centre secured eight more conventions and exhibitions to add to the 2013/14 schedule. Expected to attract over 7,500 delegates, the eight events include the 20th ASEAN Federation of Cardiology Congress, 25th International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) Congress and Offshore Technology Conference Asia.
