Local conglomerate Chip Mong Group last week broke ground on its latest project in the Kingdom, a 5-storey retail mall with 11,000 square metres of floor area.

The shopping mall, known as Chip Mong 598, will be completed during the first quarter of 2021, according to Stephane Pierron, acting president of Chip Mong Retail.

Mr Pierron said the mall, which will have a parking lot able to accommodate more than 130 cars, will serve the residents of housing complex Park Land 598 (a project by Chip Mong Land) as well as those residing in Russey Keo district, in the outskirts of Phnom Penh.

“Chip Mong 598 Mall will offer a fresh concept in entertainment and shopping experience. This encapsulates the moments shared with families and friends every time when they visit this purpose-built mall.

“Providing our customers with quality products, outstanding service levels, and unrivalled shopping experience are the key to our commitment,” Mr Pierron said.

He said the mall will boast a Chip Mong Supermarket, a Legend cinema complex, restaurants and bars, a playground for children and other amenities to meet the needs of the community.

“We believe that shopping malls are not just about buildings but more about the people who visit them every day. Thus, we have taken into consideration the needs of this community, especially families with busy lifestyles,” he added.

Leang Henry, president of Chip Mong Land, said the project is the result of a partnership between Chip Mong Land and Chip Mong Retail, with both companies committed to bringing a comprehensive and convenient shopping experience to families in and around residential areas developed by Chip Mong Land.
