Targeting business and premium travellers, the Australian flag carrier has announced it will deploy its A330 on all weekday flights between Sydney - Perth and Melbourne - Perth.
Commencing May next year, the airline will deploy all nine of its A330s on the two routes, which will meet growing demand as well as “better service” the market, the airline’s domestic chief executive Lyell Strambi said.
Qantas received its ninth A330 over the weekend, Mr Strambi saying the A330 aircraft is a “vital” part of the airline’s domestic strategy.
The plane is configured with 36 seats in business class, 268 in economy and has been installed with the latest Panasonic-on-demand in-flight entertainment and laptop power.
