Air Canada’s traffic and load factors are increasingly high, due to improved fleet utilisation.

Air Canada reported a load factor of 78.1 percent last month, an increase of 2.2 percent over the previous year’s results and the second highest posting ever for the month of November.

The markets of Australia, Caribbean, Mexico and Central and South America saw a 7 percent increase in traffic.

“Air Canada generated greater traffic in all markets the airline serves with system-wide growth of 4.6 percent on a capacity increase of 1.7 percent through higher utilization of our existing fleet,” Air Canada president and chief executive Calin Rovinescu said.

“These strong results underscore the effectiveness of our disciplined capacity management and our award winning product.

“I thank our employees whose professionalism and focus on taking care of customers have been instrumental in earning their loyalty.”
