TOKYO - With more than half the global population of high-net worth individuals residing in only three countries – the United States, Japan and Germany, Reed Travel Exhibitions’ International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) has announced further details of the second edition of the country specific event, ILTM Japan, taking place as last year at the SODOH Higashiyama, Kyoto, Japan, 17 – 19 March 2014.

Once more supported by the City of Kyoto and the Japan Tourism Agency, ILTM Japan is the only event of its kind in the country and entirely dedicated to the high end Japanese luxury travel sector. ILTM Japan identifies and selects discerning buyers of elite travel from both within Japan and internationally - 70% of those invited to ILTM Japan 2014 will have never attended an ILTM event before.

Ritz Carlton, Best of the Alps, Sun International, Alilia Hotels and Resorts, Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok and Ayana Resort and Spa are among those international brands that have already confirmed their attendance.

Following the successful ILTM format, the event will commence with an Opening Forum at the Grand Hyatt Kyoto on Monday 17 March featuring topical speakers who will address the invited luxury travel community guests. The ILTM Japan Opening Forum is positioned to inspire both the domestic elite travel community and those visiting international suppliers of luxury travel products present, before they begin making new contacts and building new business at the event over the following 2 days.

ILTM Japan 2013 will welcome buyers and exhibitors in an agenda of one to one appointments - pre?selected by both parties to maximise business opportunities during the event. Each buyer is accredited to ensure they meet the criteria to attend and is then fully hosted at the event by ILTM.

Alison Gilmore, Senior Exhibition Director, ILTM Portfolio commented: “In excess of US $2 million dollars of luxury travel business took place at ILTM Japan 2013 – evidence that luxury travel brands need look no further to meet with those representing the highest net worth Japanese travellers, as well as those from the international community.”
