BUCHAREST - In 2014, Romania will open three tourism representative offices in Tokyo, Brussels and Tel Aviv, but will give up work in Paris, said Maria Grapini, minister delegate for Small and Medium Businesses, Environment and Tourism.
Grapini said she wanted the Romanian Office to be opened until September when the Japan tourism fair will happen.
At the same time, this spring a representative office will be opened in Israel to promote Romania. Israel was the fifth source country for foreign tourists in 2013.
During the first half of the year Paris office will be closed, but another will be opened in Brussels, to cover France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
Romania has nine tourist representative offices abroad, in New York, Paris, Berlin, London, Rome, Madrid, Moscow, Vienna and Warsaw.
