State tourism agency launches Facebook page

The Commission on Culture & Tourism has launched a new Tourism Facebook page aimed at promoting events, attractions and specials throughout Connecticut.
Titled Visit Connecticut, the interactive page posts updates relevant to tourism in the state and offers visitors the ability to upload pictures and videos of their travels in the state, discuss favorite attractions and activities, share ideas with their friends and families, and learn about various events, destinations, deals and packages.
Ranked by Google as the top most-visited destination on the web with more than 540 million users, Facebook is a heavily used resource for travel and vacation planning.
