Galaxy Entertainment Group shines in awards season

MACAU and HONG KONG - Galaxy Entertainment Group is proud to share that the Group and its flagship properties, Galaxy Macau and StarWorld Hotel, have been recognized with a total of seven high-profile awards from various authoritative organizations during October, and made nine appearances in the highly prestigious MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong and Macau 2015 revealed.

Following Galaxy Entertainment Group's recent "Best Hotel Group Award" in the renowned Robb Report's 2014 BEST of the BEST Awards, the Group's Galaxy Macau and StarWorld Hotel were big winners when the full listings for the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong and Macau 2015 were unveiled. In addition to StarWorld Hotel, all three of Galaxy Macau's hotels - Galaxy Hotel, Banyan Tree Macau and Hotel Okura Macau - are now included in the prestigious guidebook, together with five restaurants across both properties, including Temptations, Terrazza, Gosto, Myung Ga and Saffron. Galaxy Macau was also voted "My Favorite Hotel and Resort" by readers of Hong Kong's popular U Magazine; while its micro-film Reserve Your Happiness picked up three awards at the 2nd China (Hangzhou) International Micro-Films Exhibition; and Galaxy Hotel and Banyan Tree Macau won an Agoda.com 2014 Gold Circle Award.

Robb Report rates Galaxy Entertainment Group the "BEST of the BEST"

Described as the definitive authority on connoisseurship for ultra-affluent consumers, Robb Report magazine has become a byword for quality and exclusivity across the world. Robb Report applies the same high standards to its awards, which makes winning the "Best Hotel Group Award" in the Robb Report China's 2014 BEST of the BEST Awards a momentous achievement for the Galaxy Entertainment Group and a ringing endorsement of Galaxy Macau and StarWorld Hotel.

MICHELIN Guide honors Group's restaurants

StarWorld Hotel's continental restaurant, Temptations, is listed as one of the Bib Gourmand choices in the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong and Macau 2015 for the first time and less than a year after it was re-launched following an extensive renovation. The guidebook comments Temptations as "a bright, airy restaurant serving a variety of cuisines from a number of European countries. This well-run restaurant is ideally suited for those wanting to relax with family and friends."

The sought after "Bib Gourmand" category represents the favorite eateries of the guide's independent and anonymous inspectors selected for both the quality of food and value for money. This year the price limit for this category is MOP300 for a full three-course meal, excluding drinks, showing that fine dining can still be affordable.

Also appearing in this guide and joining Banyan Tree Macau's elegant Thai restaurant Saffron, which has been recommended in the MICHELIN Guide for three consecutive years, are Galaxy Macau's Terrazza, Gosto and Myung Ga restaurants. Terrazza Italian Restaurant has already won a host of awards for a menu built around the finest seasonal ingredients and genuine Italian flavors complemented by a great wine selection.Gosto captures the true spirit of its home city with a delicious array of traditional Portuguese and Macanese dishes. While, Myung Ga is all about sharing the fiery delights of Korean BBQ cuisine in a very convivial atmosphere.

Hotels are Top Class for Comfort

In the hotel section, the MICHELIN Guide rates properties on a five-tier scale that ranges from Quite Comfortable through to Top Class Comfort and then Luxury. Banyan Tree Macau has been listed in the ultimate Luxury category since 2012; and Hotel Okura Macau and StarWorld Hotel have had Top Class Comfort listings from 2012 and 2014 respectively. 2015 sees Galaxy Hotel join the Top Class Comfort category for the first time to complete a full house for Galaxy Entertainment Group's properties.
