BANGKOK - Stamford International University, one of Thailand's leading and most respected educational institutes, is promoting further education in English for Thai high school students in Bangkok through the Stamford Global Knowledge Competition 2014. The program awards prizes of recognition for top performing teams via a 50 - question English language quiz, with prizes totaling THB 175,000 and with six 50% scholarships awarded in the final round.
Students from Yothinburana School claimed THB 100,000 for the top place finish along with three scholarship prizes, while Assumption Samutprakan School students received a cash prize of THB 50,000 plus two scholarships. Coming in third was Sarasas Witaed Romklao School with a THB 25,000 prize and one scholarship. The Thai Christian School won the final Runner Up spot, with all successful teams taking home a plaque and competition certificate.
Stamford Global Knowledge Competition 2014 is a part of Stamford International University’s vision to develop students' potential and increase English language competency, for academic courses and also to create career-ready graduates. The competition is symbolic of Stamford's continued work in the community and its network of strong relationships with schools and promising students in Thailand.
