BANGKOK Thailand’s Ministry of Interior says 10 more immigration checkpoints have been approved as channels for granting visa-on- arrival to tourists from 18 countries and one economic zone.
Interior Minister Gen Anupong Paojinda said that additional visa-on-arrival services were approved and published in the Royal Gazette. They took effect 10 December.
Including the 10 new locations, visa-on-arrival is now available at 42 checkpoints.

Nong Khai province by the Mekong River;
Bung Kan province;
Phibun Mangsahan checkpoint in Ubon Ratchathani at the Chong Mek border pass;
Tha Li immigration checkpoint in Loei;
Nakhon Phanom immigration checkpoint at the third Thai-Lao friendship bridge;
Huai Kone immigration checkpoint in Nan;
Ban Prakob immigration checkpoint in Songkhla;
Khuan Don immigration checkpoint in Satun;
Tak Bai immigration checkpoints in Narathiwat;
Buketa immigration checkpoints in Narathiwat.
The 15-day visas on arrival are eligible for visitors from 18 countries and one economic zone: Andorra, Bulgaria, Bhutan, China, Cyprus, Ethiopia, India, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
Similar visa-on-arrival facilities were already available at 32 other locations, mostly major border checkpoints, the minister said.
