Thaksin Shinawatra's legal adviser plans to write to US magazine Foreign Policy asking it to correct information in an article that listed the former premier among a group of former world leaders the periodical dubbed ''Bad Exes''.

Noppadon Pattama said yesterday the article contained untruths about Thaksin. The article, written by Joshua EKeat ing, stated Thaksin had lived under a false name in Germany and had used ''illegally received passports'' from a number of countries.

Mr Noppadon said Thaksin had lived in Germany but only for a short period and he had never used fake names on his passports or visas. Mr Noppadol said Thaksin had called the article nonsense. The lawyer said no lawsuits would be filed but he wanted the magazine to correct its mistakes online.
