BANGKOK Pacific Asia Travel Association’s regional director East Asia, Ivy Chee, leaves the association 30 April to pursue her own business endeavours.
She joined PATA in January 2012 and her decision to leave right after the up coming annual general meeting in Leshan, China, was made public through an email sent to travel trade colleagues on Monday and then posted on Facebook.
She told colleagues: “I will be moving to start my own business with several well-known industry players soon after the PATA AGM in Leshan, China.”
inside no 6 Ivy CheeShe gave no further details other than to say she would be contributing to a tourism training project in Sapa, North Vietnam.
She added that she was particularly pleased to join PATA at a time of “positive next gen change and see the organisation return to profit.”
She was based at PATA’s head office in Bangkok.
