Grand Sale Fair in Bangkok

BANGKOK  Tourism Authority of Thailand will work with NCC Exhibition Organiser to host the Amazing Thailand Grand Sale Fair 2015 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok, 1000 to 2000, 11 to 14 June.
Speaking at a pre event press conference, Wednesday, TAT’s Tourism Investment Department executive director, Wiboon Nimitwanich, said the Amazing Thailand Grand Sale Fair 2015 will stimulate domestic tourism and the sale of local products during the rainy season June to August.
“The four-day event is part of Discover Thainess campaign to encourage spending among local and international tourists.”
He said: “TAT has gained participation of shops, malls, and tour companies as well as hotels, golf courses and spas to offer discounts of 10% up to 80% on products and services.”
inside no 2NCC Exhibition Organiser general manager, Bussaya Prakobthong, said the event is now in its 14th year and is one of the country’s major discount events for tourism products and services.
“This year, there are 340 exhibitors including vendors and tourism-related products and services, which will cover an area of more than 10,000 sqm of the C1, C2 and Atrium halls of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre.”
The fair will also feature fashion products from young designers who have made their names on the internet.
TAT will also showcase the 12 must-see destinations in the Thainess campaign. They are Lampang, Nan, Phetchabun, Buri Ram, Loei, Samut Songkhram, Ratchaburi, Trat, Chanthaburi, Trang, Chumphon, and Nakhon Si Thammarat.
The four-day Amazing Thailand Grand Sale Fair 2015 should attract up to 80,000 visitors, an increase of 10% over last year, and generate an estimated THB120 million spend on tourism products and services.
